We’ve had some crazy weather here over the past few days. Cold then warm… rain then sunshine… calm and crazy windy… I think Mother Nature finally decided that yes, it finally is time to let fall be fall and the last few days of October were beautiful… the perfect sunny, sweater/light coat, hat wearing days.
I had signed Noah and Abby up for a nature education day with the local Conservation District a few weeks ago, not knowing exactly what to expect. We went with open minds and had a great time! They had crafts and educational stations set up inside where the kids could play and learn at the same time. They also gave a guided tour through the forest preserve that was optional… of course I went… I figured it was a beautiful day and a great way to get some fresh air. Though it went longer than expected (it was supposed to be 30 minutes tops and ended up being closer to 1 hour), Noah loved it and did great. Abby did too… she was awake for about 20 minutes of the walk and then slept peacefully against me in the carrier!
Noah showing me his lantern
Walking in the leaves… lots and lots and lots of leaves
Checking to see if any animals were sleeping in the dead tree stump
Running back to Mama and Abby… he got suckered into the old “goodbye” trick!
Isn’t he just the cutest?! He actually wore the hat that I made him and refused to take it off when we went inside.
You might think that he’s looking at something interesting, but no… he decided to take a break and the “good-bye” trick wasn’t working this time… so I just let him be for a minute and took a picture of him instead! haha!
He is so cute! Love that hat.
Thank you! He sure is a character. =)
Cute hat, good job! Noah is looking pretty hip :0)
Thanks Kris!
Don’t know if you talked to mum, but all that fresh air was no good for him – or Abby – both are sick again!! Boo! Did you ever post pics of your Halloween costume on Facebook?
Love ya!
Looks like a beautiful fall day! That hat is adorable and so is your little guy. I love taking walks in nature with the little ones, thanks for reminding me to do this with mine 🙂
I love his hat – wish I would do things like that that, for some reason crochet’ing is intimidating to me!
