Hi and welcome SITSa’s!!!

I’m so happy to have you here! A big shout out and thank you to Tiffany and Heather – the two masterminds behind the beauty that is SITS (The Secret is in the Sauce for those of you not in the know). It is a great place to meet many, many great and wonderful bloggers. Thanks to SITS I have made many friends in the past 14 months (back when I joined there were only about 180 members and now look at it!!).

If this is your first time stopping by, well then please sit back and relax, because that’s the way we try to be are here.I’ve been trying to bake cookies and should have a batch coming out of the oven in a few minutes!

Please don’t mind Noah – he’s my 16 month old ball of terror energy and he keeps me on my toes all day long. I actually started blogging thanks to him. I wanted to find a way to keep my family updated and quite frankly I also needed something to keep me awake during those many middle of the night nursing sessions. From there it has evolved and now here we are… the blog is no longer solely about Noah, but he still plays a major role in it!

We will be welcoming our second child April 2nd (though I’m guessing it will be more like late March – am really not hoping for an April Fools baby!!). I’m sure she will have us wrapped around her little fingers as quickly as her brother did!! I’m a little nervous about having 2 kids 20 months apart, but I’m sure we will find a way to survive!!

I’m a SAHM and if trying to keep the house clean (I’m failing miserably!), and taking care of Noah and his soon to be little sister won’t be keeping me busy enough, I’ve started going back to school again this fall in hopes of completing a degree in Early Childhood Education by the time the two little rug rats go to school. This was my first semester back to school in 9 years and my first semester back to school in the US in 13 years (I got my Industrial Business degree in Germany)!! Needless to say I was more than a little nervous, which my husband thought was both funny and cute.

Ahhh, my husband… without him I would not be doing all of this. He has stood beside me, pushed me to go beyond my boundaries, and has helped me to open my eyes to new things. He busts his butt daily so that I can stay at home with Noah. He is the love of my life and I thank the internet for helping me find him!!

    We’re expecting twins (our first children!) in May (well, really April), so I can totally relate to feeling nervous! And I also started back to school to get my Masters degree this year, so I can relate to that as well…I graduated from college 8 years ago, so I was REALLY nervous about that!     Happy SITS Day! I have enjoyed reading about you. First I want to say your baby OMG he is gorgeous!! I’m an American from Utah living in Bremen Germany with my husband and 15 year old daughter. We are here for several years for my husbands job….I suck at German it’s so hard to learn. No one really talks to us so its okay, unless I need help. We like it here but I miss America so much. I could go on and on!

    Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. You’ll be fine with two 20 months apart. I much prefer the smaller age gaps. Two of mine were born within a year! Another two 18 months apart and another two 14 months apart. In fact, the youngest five were born within six years lol!

    Happy SITS day! My two oldest are 20 months apart, and its actually not terrible. Even in the beginning, I don’t remember it being that tough. They are 9 and 7 now (soon to be 9 and 8) and are (most of the time) the best of friends!

    Happy SITS day!! I have a two year old (well, she’ll be 3 in March) and a four month old; it is easier than it sounds as long as you set your expectations low. I have found that the less I plan to do outside the house, the better. Good luck!

    You totally can do the 2 children 20 months apart. I have four, and the 1st two were 18 months apart… and in between #s 2 and 3, and #3 an 4, they were 20-22 months apart. Your little guy is gorgeous! Love your site!

    Hey there, your little boy is so cute and precious! I don’t have any kids, but have three dogs and the youngest is almost a year and she’s a handful! Congrats on your SITS day in the sun! And congrats on taking the leap to decide to go back to school. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and it was really fun, actually I think the ECE classes are the most fun even though they are A LOT of work. Even the math class I took was sort of fun! It will help you understand your children better and they will help you understand your classes better. So it’s a win-win situation. Good luck in all that you do!

    Two kids under 20 months is possible to survive! My kids are 23 months apart and my littlest is 14 months so I know what I’m saying. I started going back to school just before my daughter arrived. That was (is) a bit tough. Good luck!

    Mama Michie..Mama Michie…Happy SITS Day girl and congrats on being the FB of the day. Noah is just the cutest lil guy…I have one of those blue eyed lil angels too..only my guy just turned 7. It’s amazing how much trouble they can get out of with those eyes, isn’t it? If Noah hasn’t learned to use them yet..he will..he will!! So happy for you and the family regarding the newest arrival next year too. How exciting!! I have three grown boys and two of them were born 22 months apart. It will be good…they will grow up so close to one another.

    I have a Noah too, only mine is almost 8 … however I have a 15 month old and his 2 1/2 year old brother and he are only 16 months apart. It wasn’t easy for me, as I hope it is for you, because my 2 1/2 year old has a lot of medical issues.
