We’re baaack!! The week of vacation went by much too quickly, but as they say time flies when you’re having fun… and we had lots of fun! We took the kids all over… the zoo, Six Flags Great America and up north to Wisconsin Dells for a few days. Noah had a blast and was tuckered out well before bedtime most nights. I’ve got plenty off pictures to sort through and post… but that will have to wait, since we had plans for today already and now I’m a bit too tired to get them ready to post tonight.
As a quick update on kids though… Noah, who is now 23 months old, is starting to really expand his vocabulary. He is saying a few new words every day… yesterday he surprised me by pointing and saying “garage”. He is also turning out to be quite the little dare devil… climbing anything and everything, no matter how scary it may be. Yesterday he scared my sister by trying to climb the balance beam at the park she took him to!
Abby turned 4 months old last Monday. I would love to tell you how much she’s gained and grown in the past 2 months, but her check up isn’t until next week… so you’ll get all of the stats then. She’s a delight… most days… then there are the Abby is needy days… those are the ones where all she wants is to be held. While I love that time too, it’s 1. hard to get anything done then and 2. impossible to keep up with a brother who isn’t jealous of my attention to her, rather her attention to me. Within the past week, she has flipped both from her belly to back and from her back to belly (though I think her real intention that time was trying to place her whole fist into her mouth!). She is happiest when naked… with or without her diaper, but preferably without… and she loves to flash her daddy (and me) her big toothless grins… her whole face lights up when she smiles and you can’t help but smile with her.
Alright, that’s as much as I can type right now… Noah is upstairs standing by his bedroom door… holding his blanket (not a little kid sized blanket either), George his monkey and I believe his seahorse… calling out (in a very pathetic voice) MomMom, Mama, MaaaMaaa. I’m going to go try to put him to bed… again… for the third time. =)
Having kids is always fun and yes, they do grow up so fast! Enjoy the rest of the Summer 🙂
Hi, this is my first post on your site. I read it your posts when I can, but couldn’t help but read that you were in the Dells. I used to come to the Wisconsin Dells and its area when I was a kid, but now I live here as an adult with a husband and 2 kids. I love it here. Despite it being a smaller town, there’s always something to do.
