Today was Noah’s last day of his first year of pre-school. The weather was the perfect “last day of school” weather… sunny and warm {it’s supposed to be in the upper 80’s/90’s today} and a nice strong breeze… okay, so the breeze is actually more like a good strong wind, but it helps keep things a little cooler. 😉
Instead of just dropping Noah off as usual today, I parked the car and got out with both kids. Abby and I sat on a bench outside with all of the other parents, while Noah went into his classroom with his friends. Twenty minutes later, all of the siblings and parents lined up outside of the playground as a group of 3-5 year olds marched in a circle, while proudly carrying banners and waving to their families… it was Olympics day at preschool.
Soon after taking this photo, the preschoolers all sat down and got ready to take part in the Olympic activities… field day was always one of my favorite days of the year, and judging by the smile on his face when I came back to pick him up two hours later, I’d say Noah liked it too. He’s off in dreamland now while his sister is coloring next to me singing a hearts song she just made up… the little stinker took a power nap on our way to pick up her brother and now refuses to nap… such is life. 😉
Summer has officially begun here at our house and while I don’t have too much planned yet, I know that there will be many sun filled days spent playing outside with my two rug rats… and though they occasionally work my nerves raw… I will enjoy every minute spent with them!
What are your plans this summer?
