To New Beginnings…

Happy New Year!

While 2015 started out great, the second half of it was just plain terrible. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did… and I’m still trying to deal with it all emotionally. I think I can honestly say that I’ve never been so sad to see one year end, while at the same time feel so happy that a new one was starting.

This year is all about new beginnings. Learning to let go of the past, while wholeheartedly embracing the future – no matter what may lie ahead. I’ve spent this past week setting goals for the year ahead and decluttering our home. Just by cleaning out my dresser, closet, and under the bathroom sink, I was able to get rid of so much stuff… clothes that didn’t fit or that will never wear again, lotions, make-up, and what-not’s that haven’t been touched in far too long and were just there. It feels good to know that those things are no longer taking up a space in our home that can either be left empty or used for something else. The basement will be the next room that gets organized. We started going through it before the holidays, and were able to donate or re-home a lot of things that were down there, but there’s definitely more work to be done and I look forward to finishing that project.

The more that I go through and declutter our home, the more that I also think about my space online. This blog is filled everything that has happened over the past 7 1/2 years – both happy and sad. While I can never get rid of it, I have to admit that it has been hard to come here and be reminded of everything that has occurred since last August. I want to give this part of my life a fresh start too and the only way that I can do that is to remove almost all the posts prior to this one. I’ve decided to leave a few tutorials, but everything else will be gone. I hope that in doing this, I’ll look forward to writing and sharing again and that this space will once more be as alive as it was a few years ago.

For those of you that have been with me since the beginning, the middle, or sometime since then, thank you. Thank you for sticking with me through the ups and downs. Thank you for the comments you’ve left here over the years. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support along the way and for your continued support going forward.
