It’s only 9 am and already I can feel it’s going to be one of those days. You know the kind… the one where you wish you had stayed in bed. Last night wasn’t too bad. I think Noah is still a little wiped from his vaccinations on Monday. He ended up waking once at 2 am (and wouldn’t go back to sleep until I fed him… which I knew he was hungry because he slept through his bedtime snack) and then again at 6 am. I can live with that, at least it was 4 hours of sleep in one stretch.
I’m still dragging this morning though and I think it has more to do with the weather than anything else. The sunshine and happiness from yesterday has been replaced with fog and rain. It’s still nice and warm though, so I won’t complain about that. Still, I hate having to leave the house on a day like today. I have no choice though, I sold some more old computer parts on eBay and I have to get them in the mail today. That and pick up some hydro cortisone for Noah… He unfortunately inherited his momma’s eczema. Just a very mild case of it though. Then it’s back home to iron shirts and finish the laundry that I have been working on for 2 days, but a cranky little boy won’t let me finish. I really don’t like the vaccinations that make him run a temp and get him all crabby.
I did however accomplish something yesterday. I had a bunch of picture frames lying around that were screaming for me to do something with them. So I painted them all black and inserted black and white pictures (of Noah of course) in them, well I still need to print out 3 more but that will be taken care of today. I already arranged them, on the kitchen table, the way that I would like to have them hang on the wall. Now I just need to decide which wall I want to hang them on. What’s that you ask? Why I’m having such a hard time deciding? well, that is because in the 3+ years that we have lived here, we have yet to add any wall decorations to any rooms other than the bedrooms. Oh wait we hung up a clock in the nook above the fish tank. I haven’t exactly been miss Suzy Homemaker (I think I have a commitment problem when it comes to putting holes in the walls… that was until I found the 3M picture strips!!). Oh, don’t get me wrong. I subscribe to Better Homes and Gardens and Good Housekeeping, I even had a subscription to Country Homes for a year, but I am still a decorating failure. I get the ideas, but don’t do anything with them. That has got to come to an end!!! I think what I am going to do is start an idea sheet for each unfinished room in the house and start painting and decorating this spring. Which leads me to thing that the photo collage will be going in the loft, because that room has at least been painted already (though now I would like to paint it a lighter more neutral shade of taupe..argh!!)
Anyway, enough dreaming… I will take a picture of the collage once I have it hanging up. But first I need to iron a laundry basket full of shirts…YAY!!
