Springter

That’s what I’m calling our current season. It’s spring… it’s winter… its springter!

I thought maybe Mother Nature had gotten the memo by now… no snow after March 21st. Unfortunately, it must have gotten lost in the chaos of changing seasons.

The good news is that we did not get the 3 to 4 inches of snow that they were calling for last night… the bad news is we still got snow and the White Sox home opening game was postponed until tomorrow because of it. ARGH…

I.Am.So.Sick.Of.That.Freaking.White.Stuff!!

I want to be able to walk outside in something other than my winter coat… in fact, I want to be able to put that coat away and not have to look at it again until – let’s say- November. I want to be able to take the little guy out for walks… he likes them and they are good for both my body and sanity. I want to be able to go outside and see the tulips blooming… not struggling to break through that dreaded white stuff. I want to be able to walk out the door in flip flops (not that my feet are anywhere near ready for them) and not boots.

So, I’m begging… pleading, please Mother Nature! We’ve had enough snow here in the Midwest, please bring that stuff to the southern hemisphere where I believe it’s now fall, let them have an early winter, but we’ve had enough!! I’m willing to accept rain and the occasional hail storm accompanied by a tornado warning to go along with the sun and warmth, because that is what spring is all about here. Please just no more snow!!!
