Blog hopping along

BlogHop

Hi there!! BlogHer ’09 is so close to me and yet I couldn’t be further away!

Welcome to my humble little blog… I know you’ve been to a bunch of them today, so feel free to sit for a minute and relax… I might even have something cold and refreshing in the fridge… meaning milk, water, juice and yes maybe a beer or two (not for me though… I’m still the “on-call” milk dispenser for my son.)

Let’s see… a little about us…. I started blogging almost a year ago, just a few short days after my son was born… it started as a way to keep our families updated about his growth and the milestones he was reaching. I caught the bug though, evolved a bit and I’ve been blogging about anything and everything ever since.

So… yes, I’m a mom to a little boy who will be turning 1 in just a few short weeks and I can’t believe just how fast this past year has just flown by.

My husband and I did things a little backwards… we bought a house, got pregnant a few years later, engaged a few months after that and married 3 short weeks before Noah was born. I was all a bit crazy last year, I wouldn’t change any of it for the world though.

If you have some time and want to find out a bit more about me you can read all about me in these posts:

I hope you were able to rest a little before jumping over to the next blog… I look forward to seeing you here again soon… my door is always open and there’s usually something to snack on in the house!

  1. We did things backwards too, minus the buying a house thing. Southern California is not exactly a great place to get into the housing market unless you have $20,000 or so handy.

Also, I love the “on-call milk dispenser.” I might have to steal that. It’s much more fun than saying “I’m still nursing.”

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope to see you again soon!

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

We also did things backwards 🙂

were together 5 years then got pregnant, then bought a house and then finally in February got married. VERY backwards! Happy almost 1st birthday to your little one!

  3. Yay!! Glad to see you joined in on the party! And thanks for stopping by my place, now that the comments are finally fixed! Ha!

I really think things work out better sometimes, if they aren’t so traditional. Good for you for doing it YOUR way!

What theme are you doing for Noah’s party? I hear ya on how fast this year has gone. Craziness!

  4. lol. my husband and i did things waaaay backwards. we’ve been together for about 12 years but weren’t married and had 4 kids in the 1st 5. it worked out though 🙂

  5. Michie, it’s nice to meet you on this blog hop. Your blog is too cute! Although you started out backwards, it sounds like you’re getting things all worked out well in your life. What a blessing to have a little baby.

  6. Oh my goodness! Noah is gonna be one!! Time flies way to fast:( We were also different. Lived together for 4 years, got engaged, got pregnant, then got married, then got a house, then had the baby.

  7. What an adorable blog you have! I love it! Thanks for stopping by and sharing the word of BlogNerd! I hope you’ve enjoyed your hoppin with all of the participants! I hope to see you back at Garibay Soup on Mondays for the inspirational carnival.

  8. Thanks for commenting, Michaela. I’m glad you had a few good laughs over at my place. I’m happy to be of service. ;o)

I’m in Chicagoland, too, and kickin’ myself for missing out on Blogher09. However, I’ve had a blast hopping around these awesome blogs, and meeting some wonderful people along the way.
