  1. good for you! i did that exact thing (wacked off 12 INCHES!) back in 2008. i seem to always go a little crazy when i get knocked up. i always chop off a TON of hair. but, in the end, it’ll grow back and it makes me feel so good when i get that postcard from locks of love saying that my hair was accpeted and is going to make someone very happy!

(needless to say, i’m still waiting for my 12 inches to grow back)

    1. I haven’t done anything this drastic in years. I feel the same way though.. it will grow back and in the meantime, I was hopefully able to help out a little kid who needs it.

    1. I don’t think I ever heard of that program. I’m glad you mentioned it though, just in case I feel like donating again before I’ve grown the 10 inches that are needed for Locks of Love.

  2. Awesome! My hair never grows long enough for me to donate (unlike yours, it’s super thin, and breaks off once it’s about shoulder-length) but my daughter donated hers when we cut it off a year or so ago. She’s growing it out now so she can donate again!

    1. I have think hair (not as thin as yours) but lots of it! I love that your daughter is donating hers! I read on the website that most of the donations come from kids who want to help other kids. I just think that’s great!!

    1. In a way it’s very liberating to cut it off. I thought about it for a while and in the end I thought… it’s just hair and it will grow back! Luckily I was able to have enough since it grew and grew during the pregnancy.

    1. Oh believe it! =) I’ll show a before and after picture on Friday. The craziest part is that it was so much hair that when I weighed myself this morning I was down 2 lbs compared to yesterday!!

  3. That is sooo wonderful! What a special thing to do for those in need. Wow! I’m amazed at all the hair and generosity.

Does hubby like the change? Did it freak Noah out?

    1. My husband likes it, he’d only ever seen pictures of me with shorter hair, so it was quite a difference. As for Noah, I don’t think that he really even noticed the change, since I rarely wore it down… I almost always had it pulled back.
