Happy 2 years!

Today is my 2 year Blogoversary!! I almost forgot about it, but then the Dr’s office called confirmed Ray’s appointment tomorrow and I remembered that his appointment is on the 19th, so today is the 18th and OH MY GOODNESS I started blogging two years ago with a post detailing Noah’s birth and some pictures of the first 10 days of his life. Anyway…

Two years ago today, I had been married for only exactly 1 month and had a 10 day old son. We had two dogs… Sammie and Snickers. I was stumbling my way through night and day, learning how to be a mom for the first time. Noah was an every 2 hour eater, so he was constantly sucking on my boobs so I needed to find something to keep me awake for the multiple night feedings that he insisted on! 😉 Soooo I started the Krause Family blog on blogger… which eventually led to me starting Mama Michie’s Musings. I didn’t know anything about HTML or CSS and WordPress was the big scary high schooler walking around my kindergarten… and what in the world is a Google Reader? I was happy that I could figure out how to change the background and actually post something! I’ve come a long way since then though!!

Two years ago, I never thought that anyone other than my family and maybe some friends would read my little blog. I didn’t think that I would make friends because of it, that I would reconnect with old classmates because of it or that I would actually get to meet another blogger in real life and find out that she’s just as sweet in person as she is online. I’ve  met a great group of women in these last two years, many of which I met thanks to SITS… one I’ve known since what feels like day 1, one who has great taste when it comes to picking out boys names 😉, one who’s son is a cutie and just a little older than Noah, one who’s daughter is Noah’s future wife(!), one who’s daughter shares a birthday with Abby and one who is a great, great friend… and that’s just to name a few. The list goes on and on!

Two years ago I didn’t know that I would be going back to college. I didn’t know that I would end up having two kids under 19 months apart. I didn’t know that there were sooooo many great craft blogs out there inspiring me to make more with my own two hands. I didn’t know that I would be asked to be a contributing writer to a blog that celebrates moms and women.

Two years ago when I started blogging, I never thought that any one would be interested in what I have to say. I’m so happy that you all have proved me wrong and keep coming back (even if it is just to look at the pictures of my kids!! *wink*). This part of the interwebs wouldn’t have made it these past two years without you… and if I’ve done so much in that time, just imagine what I can do in the next two years!!
