Vacation Week

I’ve been wanting to post more often, but somehow that just hasn’t been working out as well as I want it too. This week was no exception. The plan was to have a few posts pre-written to be posted this week, because I knew that the dust would be settling on my laptop since it was vacation week here in our home!

The original plan was to drive away, then last week the plan changed to staycation… only to change back to driving away in the last minute. So on the 4th of July, while everyone else in the US was out grilling and having fun, the four of us were in the car heading east… well northeast… to Traverse City, Michigan (with a stop at the Warren Dunes State Park to let the kids run off some energy). We spent the past 4 days there and just got back home a few hours ago.

The kids are sleeping peacefully in their beds, so Ray and I now have the chance to relax a little. We haven’t quite gotten through all of the photo’s, but I did want to leave you with a family photo of us before I say “good night”.

This was taken at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore… Abby was snoring into my neck and Noah was less than pleased about having to sit still to have his picture taken (yet again).

More  about our trip and more photos will be posted soon, but that will have to wait for another day because right now my bed is calling my name! 😉

  1. Awesome spot! Love it….and spending time doing fun things is much more important than sitting and blogging anyway……:-) I’m glad you are having a fabulous vacation!

  2. The picture is perfect! Look at Abby snoozing away – classic! Glad you had a nice vacation. The beach looks wonderful!

My blogging has slowed down too. Work and home life is about all I am managing well. 🙂

    1. Thanks! The dunes were awesome! So much fun and the kids loved them.
I’m there with you on managing work and home life, just for me it’s the kids and home… and even then the home sometimes suffers 😉
