LTMF – Construction dust and crochet hooks

The past two weeks have been busy ones here at home. Ever since we found out that we were expecting a second child, 5 years ago, we started planning turning converting our loft into a bedroom, giving us three bedrooms instead of just two.

Avoiding the creative void

It was just after 7am yesterday morning, and wonders upon wonders, all three children were still sleeping… most of them were even in their own beds! My husband had already left for work and I was using the quiet time to drink my green smoothie and mentally prepare for the day ahead.

One Stitch, Two Stitch

I’ve been cross stitching for as long as I can remember… probably close to 30 years… and while my love for this particular craft has been an on again off again one, I never seem to stay away too long.

Bracelet distractions

When Abby was younger, she started biting and chewing on her fingernails. She would bite her tiny little nails as far down as she could (without drawing blood or hurting the skin below).

things lately

Fall left us pretty quickly here in the Midwest, and though it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, it looks like winter has arrived. The hectic holiday season is right around the corner… and thanks to a much needed break from Etsy and sewing totes, I’m happy to say that I’m ready for it.

Meet Big Belly Ellie!

Big Belly Ellie is here and ready to conquer the world! She’s been a little shy lately, but has decided that it’s finally time to make new friends.

Stomp, Stomp, Stomp!

Over the past few months, I haven’t been able to sew as often as I like, since I now have one child who doesn’t nap and two others who refuse to sleep at the same time.

Feeling Craft Happy

After the night that we had in our house last night, I have more than enough reasons to be tired and crabby… Abby is sick, Michael is teething and quite possibly fighting the same cold that Abby has, so he’s up more often than usual, Noah woke me around 2 am to let me know that he missed the toilet and made a mess of his pajama pants and bathroom floor, and to round it all off, the batteries in 2 of our smoke detectors decided to die (within 20 minutes of each other) right after I had gotten Noah back to bed and the bathroom floor cleaned up.

Dream

So I know that I promised photos of the master bath, but I’ve been a little lazy and haven’t uploaded them onto the laptop yet… must do that today. 😉
