Insta-Friday {10/12}

It’s Friday again and that means another fun Insta-Friday over at Jeanett’s, I’m really loving capturing little moments of our life with my tablet and can’t wait to get a new phone {one day} making it even easier to do so. {Look me up on Instagram… michaelakr}

life rearranged

Homemade Deep Dish pizza

It’s getting colder… and I love it! The cooler weather means sweaters, scarves, and really good comfort food. I tried out my deep dish pizza recipe again last Friday… and tweaked it a little by using fresh mozzarella. The pizza was good, and the cheese tasted great, but I learned the hard way that fresh mozzarella is way too watery to use on a pizza like this.

Since I made a double batch of dough for the pizza, I had enough dough left over to bake a loaf of bread… which we didn’t eat… and is now sitting on the counter getting hard so that I can turn it into bread crumbs… which makes me feel better because baking it wasn’t a total waste of time.

Noah in the box

I received a box of toys for a post for the upcoming National Toy Store day, and of course the kids were way more interested in playing with the box than they were with the toys… which is fine with me!

They played with it for 3 days before starting to get bored… and I just loved watching and listening to them. The box ended up being a rocket ship, a race car, a house and a great hiding place {when someone should have been getting ready for bed *cough Noah cough*}.

Now it’s housing the toys that they didn’t clean up… yeah… I’m the “bad” mama that finally followed through with the threat “If you don’t clean up your toys…” They’ll get their toys back… eventually 😉

Little Hams

Noah saw me turn on Instagram and decided to ham it up… of course he’s loving on his sister just a little… and as {almost} always, she’s just in her undies… I don’t know why it’s so hard to keep clothes on that girl! Anyone else have that problem with their 2 year old?

Inspiration

I used some of my birthday money to buy myself a book full of inspiration… embroidery/cross stitch is one of my original crafting loves and I have been wanting to incorporate it into some of my Noby items fora while now… maybe someday soon! =)

Applique

This week I also started working on one off my most intricate and detailed appliques yet… and I’m loving how it’s turning out!!! It’s a super custom order tote… and it’s been so fun to work on.

The custom order totes have been keeping me so busy lately that I haven’t had much time to work on any new projects… no complaints here though!!!

So that was my week in a nutshell… I hope you all have a great weekend!!
