I’m 3!!!

Okay, I’m not… you can add 30 years to that to get my age… and it will be another year older soon, because I have a birthday that is quickly approaching… but I digress.

My blog is 3 today!! I can’t believe that 3 years ago, while tired and sleep deprived (wait how is that any different from today) and caring for a newborn (oh there it is!) I started my little adventure in blogging. It was an innocent start… I wanted family to be able to keep up with little Mr Noah’s growth and changes. He was only 10 days old and soooooo tiny!!

A breezy kind of day

It has been hot here in the Midwest these past few weeks (though thankfully not as hot as other states)! The problem is, I don’t really do hot weather very well. The whole time I kept dreaming of cooler days and even cooler nights.

Ice teef

Someone in our house is teething. She has been for a while… in fact I felt two of her little molars while we were away on vacation. Those little buggers have slowly been pushing their way up and Abby could almost always be seen with either one or both fists crammed into her mouth. It’s been over three weeks and they still haven’t broken through the skin though, so there have been a lot of fist in mouth days for her!

Us vs the Dune Climb

The kids are napping, so I’m going to jump in with a quick post. Yes I am going to bore you with more photo’s of our vacation. Yes I have other things that I would like to write about, but for some reason I feel a little tongue tied right now. Maybe it’s the heat… it’s 1:30 and currently 94 degrees out… with a heat index of over 100… did you hear that? It’s the sound of me melting just thinking about it.

Warren Dunes State Park

or otherwise titled… The kids vs the first dune!

We left our home and started driving east. Ray and I knew that the kids would never make it through a 6 1/2 hour drive with out stopping a longer stop to run off some energy, so we planned a little detour to the Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan.

Vacation Week

I’ve been wanting to post more often, but somehow that just hasn’t been working out as well as I want it too. This week was no exception. The plan was to have a few posts pre-written to be posted this week, because I knew that the dust would be settling on my laptop since it was vacation week here in our home!

Visiting Santa’s Village

No, you did not read that wrong… for those of you not from the Chicago area, Santa’s Village is a children’s amusement park that has been around for a very long time. I was never there as a kid, but Ray had been and so have many others that I know. It had closed down for a few years, but opened back up this past Memorial Day and I was curious to see what it was all about.

Thank goodness they’re cute!

It is just after 10pm and I have finally finished editing photos that I took of the kids outside playing and had intended posting last week. I’m the only one awake in the house (not including any ants or other creepy crawlies that know better than to make themselves known to me and my shoe of insect death)… it’s an odd feeling. Sure I’m the only one awake at nap time, but almost never at night… okay so that’s not entirely true… there are many nights where Ray and I are downstairs watching a movie and I’m the only one awake watching it… but that’s not the case tonight… no tonight he’s actually already sleeping in bed. I probably should be too… I’m so very tired.
