The thing about being an introvert, is that it is so very hard to really put yourself out there for everyone to see. It’s 2013! According to some, it’s the year that wasn’t supposed to happen… yeah, I didn’t really fall for that either. Ray and I celebrated New Year’s eve here at home… both of us sick with whatever cold is going around right now… fun! Thankfully {if there ever really is a thankfully to having a cold}, our family wasn’t hit with this bug until after Christmas was over. Unfortunately though, it’s now making it’s way through everyone in the house and so far Noah is the only one who hasn’t really gotten it.

The days just got away from me this past week… Ray was out of town last weekend and was supposed to come home Tuesday evening… but his flight was delayed and his plane didn’t land until 1am… much later than expected!! That made for both a very long day and a very short night. Needless to say Wednesday was shot… we were all just too tired to do anything! Noah also celebrated his birthday at preschool this week, and I was happy to be there to enjoy his “big day” with him. He’s so happy to be back and we’re so happy that he really and truly loves going there.

This particular post was started back in April… and has sat untouched until now. I wasn’t able to finish it… I was in a funk… creatively, mentally and physically. Friday the 13th and I do not get along… and whenever possible I try not to leave the house on those days. Strange things just seem to happen to me on those particular days and I prefer not to tempt fate.
It all started with a sore throat the Thursday before last. By Saturday, my sinuses were completely acting up and I had the chills… fantastic!!! I no longer have the chills {thankfully}, but it’s been well over a week and I still can’t go anywhere without tissues {or a roll of toilet paper… so much easier and there’s more of it!!} and there are several times a day when I swear I am going to cough out my lungs. Thankfully I am the only one who got sick and I am happy to say that I think that I’m slowly getting better.
