The big day that Noah and Abby have been waiting all month for has finally arrived… it’s Halloween!! The costumes were picked out last week and the kids had been counting down the days since then.
Both were told that they had to take a nap yesterday… or there would be no trick or treating… as you can see, the threat worked! =)
Noah was sold on his Jedi costume as soon as he saw the lightsaber… he was also quick to let everyone know that he was Obi-Wan Kenobe – a good Jedi (his words not mine) – from the real Star Wars, not the Lego Star Wars movie. It cracks me up to hear him talking about it, since he’s never made it through a whole movie other than the Lego’s version.
Abby was Cinderella this year… and she loves her “pretty princess dress”! She was so excited to go out this year, her smile said it all. She didn’t want to talk to anyone though… no “trick or treat” or even “thank you”…. though she did say “happy Halloween” once. What’s funny is that she would talk up a storm during the walk from one house to the next.
Both kids are keeping a close eye on their loot… it’s fun to see just how much more they “get it” this year. Abby keeps wanting to hide her stash, just to make sure that no one else gets to it. =) Right now they are both playing “the great pumpkin Charlie Brown” in the playroom, while I’m folding and putting away laundry… it’s a good day.
