Playing with fabric

I was so excited to receive my first order through my very own shop here on this site last week!! I had tested and tested and tested everything before launching the shop feature, but there was always still that off chance that something wouldn’t work right… but it did and I’m so happy!! I’ve been selling on Etsy for a few years now and have gotten plenty of orders there, but having that sale on my own site made me feel like I had moved on to a whole new level!

Having a new order to work on means that the past few nap times have been spent working with fabric again. I wasn’t sure how Noah would feel about my having to prep, cut, and sew during “our time together”, but he’s been great about it – watching Camp Google videos, reading, and building Lego creations.

Today’s nap time will be spent ironing on and then sewing the lettering onto the two totes. If I’m really lucky, I’ll be able to finish all of the applique work before Michael and Abby wake up. Each letter takes on average 5 minutes to sew and finish off… I have about an hours worth of lettering to sew today. It might be close, but if I don’t let myself get distracted, I think I’ll be able to finish!

Thanks for reading! I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to!
