House to home

Five years ago Ray and I had only been seeing each other for 9 months. We knew very quickly that this thing that we had going on was more than just a “thing”. I think I may have mentioned it before, but I knew within two weeks of dating him that he was the man that I was going to marry.

Pumpkin picking 2011

It’s my favorite time of year again! I love the fall… maybe it’s because my birthday is in the fall… maybe it’s the crisp air and the changing leaves… maybe it’s just everything about it… I don’t know. What I do know is that I’m looking forward to fall for months! One of the things

Let’s not forget the boys…

One of the main reasons why I started sewing the Toddler Totes is that I wasn’t finding any “boy approved” totes. The kids and I started visiting the library on a more regular basis a few months ago. Shortly thereafter Noah wanted a his own library tote. I’m sure that I could have just given him a plain canvas bag and he would have been fine with that, but I wanted something a little more special for him.

My electronics are trying to break me!

For some reason my electronics are trying their hardest to make me look like some sort of bad girl. It started a few weeks ago, when my computer blue screened and refused to work for me. Soooo… I eventually re-installed everything and started with a clean slate. It was aggravating, I lost some files and had to re-edit photos that were being worked on when my laptop crashed, but there was no use boohooing about it and the experience actually had me feeling a little lighter in the end. Great.

Cranberry Festival 2011

As I mentioned before, Ray’s mom has been driving to the Warrens Cranberry Festival for over 30 years. If you like cranberries, then this is the festival for you! There are fresh cranberries, dried cranberries, and sweetened cranberries. There’s cranberry wine, cranberry liqueur, and cranberry beer… let’s just put it this way… there are cranberries in just about everything there!! =) Oh and did I mention that they have fried cheese curds too… mmmmm my mouth is drooling just thinking about it again.

Breathe in, breathe out…

It has been a little crazy here these past few weeks. Since the beginning of September we’ve driven to Door County Wisconsin for a rained out Labor Day weekend vacation, Noah started preschool, I decided to start Noby Designs and then started sewing up a storm in order to get some bags ready for the Warrens Cranberry Festival, we drove up to the Cranberry Festival and last but definitely not least, Ray, the kids and I celebrated a very low-key and relaxing birthday (my 34th) yesterday.

Sew busy

For the past 32 years, Ray’s mom has been driving to the annual Cranberry Festival in Warrens, WI and selling her crafts. Ray and I have driven up there a few times in the past few years to help with some of the work on the last day… even little Mr Noah has been there twice.
