There’s a new woman in my husband’s life and his love for her is quite obvious. They’ve only known each other for a few days, and yet he’s already buying gifts for her… and you know what, I’m okay with it. In fact, I encouraged him to get together with her… I don’t think he would have even made the move to go meet her had I not given him my blessing. Have I gone bonkers? No, not really… because this is his new love….
Last Friday Ray surprised me with a phone call at 9 am… he was able to find a pair of tickets to the Blackhawks/Canucks playoff game 6!!! A quick phone call to my mom later (we couldn’t go without a sitter after all), and the tickets were ours!
This week has just kicked me in the butt and I’m hoping that next week is kinder to us! We’ve all beeen sick at some point this week… well Ray and I have been sick all week.
VFor the past week, almost two, we’ve been battling whatever bug has decided the infiltrate the Midwest. It started out with some coughing, then morphed to sinus pressure/runny noses (and in Noah’s case a double ear infection) and now is changing again to a deeper, more throaty cough along with the sinus pressure/runny nose crud. Throw in a few fevers here and there and we really are a hot mess of a family right now.
We had a bit of bad luck with the weather while down in Tennessee… it was either raining or overcast (with the threat of rain) the first few days there. Our last full day there though was forecast to be a beautiful – though chilly day and we meant to take advantage of every minute of sunshine!
I may have mentioned once or twice that I started blogging because I needed something to keep me away during Noah’s many late night feedings. A few of the women in my online pregnancy group had blogs and I was interested to find out what they were all about.
I’m taking a sick day… or two.
Noah starting coming down with something Friday night… sniffles and coughing… then he started getting warm. Saturday at noon his temp was 102F… a bit too high for mid day, but he gets that from his mama.
Over the past few weeks, Ray has spent time demolishing what used to be our guest/Noah’s bathroom. I’m glad that he has been doing it, because I would not have wanted to have to pull out every single one of these bad boys…
We recently had a week of vacation and decided to spend a few days in Wisconsin Dells… and though it is the water park capital of the US, we didn’t visit a single one.
