The kids are napping, so I’m going to jump in with a quick post. Yes I am going to bore you with more photo’s of our vacation. Yes I have other things that I would like to write about, but for some reason I feel a little tongue tied right now. Maybe it’s the heat… it’s 1:30 and currently 94 degrees out… with a heat index of over 100… did you hear that? It’s the sound of me melting just thinking about it.

I’ve been wanting to post more often, but somehow that just hasn’t been working out as well as I want it too. This week was no exception. The plan was to have a few posts pre-written to be posted this week, because I knew that the dust would be settling on my laptop since it was vacation week here in our home!

I was never there as a kid, but Ray had been and so have many others that I know. It is just after 10pm and I have finally finished editing photos that I took of the kids outside playing and had intended posting last week. I’m the only one awake in the house (not including any ants or other creepy crawlies that know better than to make themselves known to me and my shoe of insect death)… it’s an odd feeling. Sure I’m the only one awake at nap time, but almost never at night… okay so that’s not entirely true… there are many nights where Ray and I are downstairs watching a movie and I’m the only one awake watching it… but that’s not the case tonight… no tonight he’s actually already sleeping in bed. I probably should be too… I’m so very tired.

It was hot last weekend… not as hot as it was at the beginning of this week, but it was still hot. We took the kiddie pool out for the first time this summer and though it is small, both kids fit into it and had fun splashing around and getting each other wet.
Last week was a busy week!! Like I mentioned in my last post, we spent Memorial Day ripping out our old carpet and dining room floors. We worked our buts off getting it ready so that it would be out of our garage the next day, only to find out that we didn’t cut and tape it quite like the disposal company wanted, so the garbage man didn’t pick take it away with the rest of our trash!! UGH!!

My week is all messed up. Thanks to the holiday on Monday, I keep thinking that it is one day earlier than it really is… anyone else having that problem this week? Maybe it’s just me…
I just put the kids down for a nap and before I get on to straightening the house up a bit, I thought that I would hop on here really quickly. This week has been a week of getting things done… not necessarily the things that I or my husband have wanted (like starting to paint the kitchen cabinets), but getting things done none the less.
