This and That

Breathe in, breathe out…

It has been a little crazy here these past few weeks. Since the beginning of September we’ve driven to Door County Wisconsin for a rained out Labor Day weekend vacation, Noah started preschool, I decided to start Noby Designs and then started sewing up a storm in order to get some bags ready for the Warrens Cranberry Festival, we drove up to the Cranberry Festival and last but definitely not least, Ray, the kids and I celebrated a very low-key and relaxing birthday (my 34th) yesterday.

Crash and burn

So I have started and deleted this post a few times… okay twice… but anyway. My laptop crashed this past Friday. It hadn’t shown me the finger… ehhem… the blue screen in over 6 months, so it was destined to happen again sometime soon. The problem this weekend was though that unlike the past 2 times, I was not able to get everything back up and running with out a loss. *sigh*

I’m 3!!!

Okay, I’m not… you can add 30 years to that to get my age… and it will be another year older soon, because I have a birthday that is quickly approaching… but I digress.

My blog is 3 today!! I can’t believe that 3 years ago, while tired and sleep deprived (wait how is that any different from today) and caring for a newborn (oh there it is!) I started my little adventure in blogging. It was an innocent start… I wanted family to be able to keep up with little Mr Noah’s growth and changes. He was only 10 days old and soooooo tiny!!

A breezy kind of day

It has been hot here in the Midwest these past few weeks (though thankfully not as hot as other states)! The problem is, I don’t really do hot weather very well. The whole time I kept dreaming of cooler days and even cooler nights.

Thank goodness they’re cute!

It is just after 10pm and I have finally finished editing photos that I took of the kids outside playing and had intended posting last week. I’m the only one awake in the house (not including any ants or other creepy crawlies that know better than to make themselves known to me and my shoe of insect death)… it’s an odd feeling. Sure I’m the only one awake at nap time, but almost never at night… okay so that’s not entirely true… there are many nights where Ray and I are downstairs watching a movie and I’m the only one awake watching it… but that’s not the case tonight… no tonight he’s actually already sleeping in bed. I probably should be too… I’m so very tired.

Big news {part 2}

After being disappointed by both our first and second choices, Ray, our realtor and I drove on to see the next four. During the drive to the third house, I kept trying to process just what we had seen in the last house that we were in. The upstairs was a mental mess of clutter, closets with missing doors, more clutter, water heaters in odd places, home made dub waiters, clutter, ugly marble in the bathroom addition, odd layout of the master bath, and oh yeah… more clutter.

Big news {part 1}

Okay, before I go on to write about the big news, I need to let you all know that I totally did not see the suggestive nature of the cactus bloom until both my sister and husband pointed it out to me. I guess I was so caught up in taking the photo and then cropping and editing it and a few others, that I didn’t even notice that it resembled a certain body part. *ahem* So without further ado, I hope you can get that image out of your head and enjoy this one (with the flower now in full bloom)

I wost you!

Those are the words Noah said to me when I picked him up at my mom’s house on Monday. It was so cute! I guess he said that he “wost” me to my mom a few times too. I tried to explain to him that no, he didn’t lose me. We were just at the Blackhawks game.
