Abby is 7 1/2 months old and I swear in the past week she has been hitting milestone after milestone!
It all started with her getting up onto her knees and crawling 1 or 2 paces… on the same day that she cut her first tooth!! I will admit that I cried a little when Noah got his first tooth, because I loved that gummy toothless smile.
We had a bit of bad luck with the weather while down in Tennessee… it was either raining or overcast (with the threat of rain) the first few days there. Our last full day there though was forecast to be a beautiful – though chilly day and we meant to take advantage of every minute of sunshine!

This giraffe was given to us by a friend of the family… who just happens to be my former 9th grade English teacher!! She loves giraffes and bought this one for Noah… I know that I have a picture of him trying to eat it posted on here somewhere!
Anyway… Abby decided to play with it one day… which meant that I also let her play with it while she was in her swing. A few minutes later I found the two of them like this…

While her brother was busy coloring on the driveway, Abby humored me with a little mini photo shoot. It was just days before her 5 month birthday, the weather was beautiful… not too hot and not at all humid… there was a gentle breeze in the air and a smile on my daughters face… but that is nothing new to her! Soooo… in an effort to try and get Noah to go to bed easier and sleep better at night, we decided it was time to move Abby into Noah’s room… well their room. The first night was interesting with Abby fussing every few minutes, while Noah stayed in his bed. I had told him that they were having a slumber party, not that he knew what that meant.

As I sit here watching my baby girl giggle away while my son dances around the living room in just a t-shirt and diapers, I can not help but feel blessed. I have two children who are happy 95% of the time and who I love with every fiber of my heart. The past (almost) four months have passed by so quickly and it is hard to believe that Ray and I once had this house only to ourselves and the dogs.
