Love

Having two children just under 19 months apart is not always easy… especially when they both inherited a certain stubborn gene that seems to run in both parents. *ahem*

The Dino says “ROAR!”

My children also roar at me too… so I guess Noah and Abby say “Roar” too! We’re one month into the school year, and things are finally starting to get back in order, thank goodness!! Last week was spent recouping from my youngest sister’s wedding(!!!), spending some time with family that came over from Germany,

Happy Birthday to Me

I turned 35 today… 35… I don’t feel like I’m 35…and yet I am. We kept it quiet today…didn’t do anything super special, just last to the same routine… just the way I like it. Noah on the other hand was upset that his mama wasn’t having a big day long celebration with lots of

The post that almost wasn’t

This particular post was started back in April… and has sat untouched until now. I wasn’t able to finish it… I was in a funk… creatively, mentally and physically. It was hard finding the words to my feelings… and in writing what I did at that time, I felt like if I would continue on, it would probably send me spiraling down into some deep, dark place… I’m not really sure why I felt that way, but I did… and I was certain that it would happen if I continued… quite honestly, I didn’t want to go there.

I’m hoping that this is the year that I finish just as organized as I started… we’ll see how that goes!!

Early Morning Bliss

It’s just past 7am on this beautiful Wednesday morning. Ray has just left for work and I am enjoying the peace and quiet in the house while the children are still asleep. Somehow, our two rugrats find their way into our bed each and every single night, and it’s not always easy for me to slip out unnoticed. I love my children, but I cherish these quiet moments of solitude.

Toddler fashion

Abby is a very independent little girl. She has wanted to do anything and everything on her own as soon as she was able to {and sometimes even when she wasn’t quite able to yet}. It’s no surprise then that she wants to pick out her own outfits and dress herself most days. This particular day I was allowed to layout a top for her, but she did the rest…
